A downloadable game

The attached rules accompany the It's Complicated Board-Game-In-A-Poster.

ABOUT THE GAME: It's Complicated is an obtuse 2-player game that takes 20-30 minutes to explain and between 5 and 45 minutes to play. It contains versions of chess, poker, snakes & ladders, resource collection, dice rolling, and worker placement mechanics and can end in the very first round.

Players roll dice and use them to activate actions in the 4 sectors of the game: Warfare / Chess, Politics / Poker, Science / Snakes & Ladders, and Economics / Resources. There are 4 ways to win, but most often victory is determined by control of these four sectors.

It's Complicated was designed by Jack Rosetree and has graphics by Maia Thomas. It is an extraordinary experiment.

A print-&-play version It's Complicated will be available at some point in the future. An online version of It's Complicated is playable through the free browser-based website Screentop.gg.
